Throughout her childhood
and teenage years, Morning Sun lived with devastating
abuse of every kind...She fell into the evils of this
world with drugs, alcohol, cigarettes and abusive
relationships influencing her life for many years.
Finally she was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis
in 1993 and she was standing at death's door when the
Lord healed and restored her. Her songs tell the story
of her life. She knows God has called her to share her
testimony with everyone. She has been commissioned by
her home church in Montana and is led by Isaiah 61:1-4
which states:
"The spirit of the
sovereign Lord is upon me, because the Lord has anointed
me to preach good news to the poor. He has sent me to
bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim freedom for the
captives and release from darkness for the prisoners, to
proclaim the year of the Lord's favor and the day of
vengeance of our God, to comfort all who mourn, and
provide for those who grieve in Zion to bestow on them a
crown of beauty instead of ashes, the oil of praise
instead of a spirit of despair. They will be called oaks
of righteousness, a planting of the Lord for the display
of His splendor. They will rebuild the ancient ruins and
restore the places long devastated, they will renew the
ruined cities that have been devastated for
generations."
"We live in
very hard times. We are very wounded people," says
Morning Sun.
"There is only one who
can heal those wounds." Morning Sun is a Warrior for the
Lord. "It's about taking a fearless stand in these last
days," she says.
Changes are coming
fast.. It is time to take a stand on many issues and
bring about change for God's Kingdom. She teaches
through her services of our need to get into the Word of
God and learn how He wants us to exemplify.
John 13:15, "I have
given you an example."
They will see by our
example.
People all over the
world are crying for change. God is the only one who can
fill the empty void in their lives.
People around the world
are searching for places that bring them an instant
moment of pleasure which does not fill their needs.
Being a Cherokee,
Morning Sun has a heart for her Native American family.
She is however, a strong woman of the Lord, desiring to
take a stand for all his people, teaching the wounded
and the afflicted how to take a stand for God and walk
firmly in faith.
Morning Sun says, "If I
were to tell you my whole story from beginning to end it
would tear your heart out. But I am not my sad story, I
am and you are, what we choose to do about our sad
stories."
Morning Sun is an ordained minister and
licensed through FGEA the (Full
Gospel Evangelistic Association) and have been since
2003.
She does a fearless and
searching moral inventory daily to insure her obedience
to God and is determined to continue to grow and learn
in order to be of greater service to God.
